A country GP in 1940s Warwickshire is called to a patient at Hundreds Hall, a decaying Georgian mansion, and home to the Ayres family. The once grand house is in an irreversible state of decline, and its much reduced occupants – mother, son and daughter – are struggling to maintain the estate. But the family are troubled by more than just financial hardship, and a terrible accident at a cocktail party marks the beginning of a series of mysterious and increasingly unsettling events. Part chilling ghost story, part psychological drama, this novel also examines the shifting class identities of postwar Britain.

Tickets are £9.50 online or £11.50 from the box office and can be bought direct from Kings Place.
