I started this today – listening to it – and am enjoying it so far. 
Only listened to the first disc but it's drawn me in already so that's good.
I read a review that said it was set in the not-too-distant future. I had been trying to suss out when it was set, as she was listing some major events that hadn't happened and yet talking of shock therapy which I thought people didn't do any more…
